Our Camden IOP Services
At Affinity, our IOP serving Camden, NJ takes a multifaceted approach to the recovery process. Our services are aimed at not only overcoming opioid addiction but also at helping you build the necessary skills and strategies for long-term recovery and success.
Group Counseling
Group counseling is an essential component of our Intensive Outpatient Program, providing an avenue to connect with others who are also in recovery. The sense of community and belonging from these sessions can help with the isolation often associated with opioid use disorder.
These sessions, facilitated by experienced counselors, aim to create a supportive space where participants can share experiences, gain insights, and develop coping strategies.
Individual Counseling
While group support is crucial, we understand that one-on-one attention from a counselor can be transformative in the recovery process. Our individual counseling sessions focus on your unique experiences and challenges.
Working closely with a dedicated counselor, you’ll be able to delve deeper into the personal aspects of your recovery. This approach allows us to tailor strategies that align with your goals, address underlying issues, and empower you to make positive life changes.
Medication Management
We understand that managing the physical symptoms of opioid withdrawal can be a critical step in your recovery. Our Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program uses FDA-approved medications, suboxone and methadone, to assist patients as needed.
These medications are specifically targeted to alleviate withdrawal symptoms and reduce cravings, which are often significant hurdles in the early stages of recovery. We will help develop a personalized plan for you that prioritizes safety and effectiveness.
How Is An IOP Different From Outpatient Addiction Treatment?
When it comes to addiction treatment, it’s important to understand the differences between various programs. Intensive outpatient programs and standard outpatient addiction treatment are both viable options, but they cater to different needs and levels of addiction.
IOPs typically require more hours per week compared to standard outpatient programs. It’s generally suited for individuals who need a higher level of care than standard outpatient services but do not require full residential treatment.
Intensive outpatient programs provide a middle ground that includes comprehensive support while maintaining the freedom to live at home.
