What Your Mount Laurel IOP Includes
Our intensive outpatient program combines group counseling, individual therapy, and medication management into one coordinated plan. Together they support both the medical and the emotional side of recovery.
Group Counseling
Group sessions connect you with others in recovery who understand what you’re facing. Led by professional counselors, they’re a place to give and receive support, talk through setbacks, and mark progress. That shared accountability eases the isolation addiction creates and builds real momentum.
Individual Counseling
One-on-one counseling gives you private time with a dedicated therapist to work through what drives substance use. Our counselors draw on cognitive behavioral therapy, reality therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy, matching the approach to you. The goal is practical: uncover the underlying issues and build coping skills that hold up after treatment ends.
Medication Management
Medication-assisted treatment is central to opioid recovery. We prescribe Suboxone and methadone to block the opioid “high,” ease withdrawal symptoms like nausea, and cut the risk of relapse and overdose. For patients who qualify, same-day medication means relief can start on day one instead of after a long wait.
IOP vs. Outpatient Addiction Treatment: Which is Right For You?
The main difference between the two is intensity. An IOP offers frequent, structured sessions with closer medical oversight, which suits anyone who needs substantial support to stay on track early in recovery.
Standard outpatient care is lighter, with less frequent sessions and check-ins, so it usually works best as a step-down once recovery is more established. If you’re unsure where you fit, our team will help you choose the right level of addiction treatment during your assessment.
Starting Your IOP: What to Expect
Getting started is straightforward, and we handle the logistics that stop most people from calling.
- Reach out.
A single confidential call is all it takes. We answer your questions and walk you through your options. - Verify coverage.
We accept Medicaid, Medicare, and most commercial insurance, and we confirm your benefits before you commit. - Get assessed.
A clinician reviews your history and needs to set the right program length, typically around 90 days. - Start treatment.
Same-day medication is available for those who qualify, and we arrange transportation to our facility for patients from Mount Laurel and nearby Mount Holly who need a ride.
Why Trust Affinity Healthcare Group For an IOP in Mount Laurel
Recovery is hard enough without fighting the system to get care. Affinity is built to remove those barriers for people across Mount Laurel and the surrounding Burlington County communities.
What sets our program apart:
- We solve the logistics. Transportation to admissions means a resident without a reliable ride still gets to treatment, whether you’re coming from Rancocas Woods, Larchmont, or Maple Shade just across Route 38.
- Care starts fast. Same-day medication and quick intake mean less time in withdrawal and less time to talk yourself out of it.
- Coverage rarely gets in the way. We work with Medicaid, Medicare, and most commercial plans.
- A real team, not a rotating cast. Physicians, nurses, and licensed counselors coordinate your plan together.
- Support beyond the clinic. We help connect patients to employment, housing, and, when needed, guidance through the probation and parole system.
For residents closer to the western edge of the township, our intensive outpatient program in Moorestown offers the same care even nearer to home.
